French police carry out 150 raids targeting suspected Islamists

French police have carried out “more than 150” raids on suspected Islamists since the attacks on Paris, Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Monday, as a source in the southeastern city of Lyon said an arsenal of weapons had been seized there. Police sources in Paris said “several dozen” pre-dawn raids were carried out in French cities on Monday, including in Bobigny, an eastern suburb of the capital.

The national leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, yesterday, charged the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to join hands with the President Muhammadu Buhari to re-fix the nation.

The National Secretary of the APC, Mai Buni​, in a statement to react to PDP’s ​claim ​that the newly sworn-in cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari “does not inspire confidence,”​ urged the PDP to focus its energy and attention on rebranding itself after suffering defeat and not distracting it (APC) from governing Nigeria.
